Neales Flat School Reunion 2011
Sunday 22nd May 2011
9:30am – 3:00pm
A reunion of students of the former Neales Flat School is planned for Sunday 22nd May 2011.
A wonderful opportunity for past pupils of Neales Flat School to attend the reunion, catch up with old schoolmates, and reminisce about early school days.
This will be the 69th year since the schools closure in 1942. In previous reunions we have always had a great turnout of past students and their families and we expect similar this time too.
We are pleased to hear that Mrs Stella Schulz nee Weiss plans to attend (she will be celebrating her 100th Birthday two days later). Dr Peter Michael from Canberra and Ian Michael from Queensland also intend to be there.
The schedule for the day:
- School Open from 9:30am
The School will be open from 9:30am so come have a cuppa and chat
We will have a slideshow of previous reunions running in the background as well. - Church Service 10.00 am
Those interested in attending the church service in the adjacent worship centre at 10.00 am are most welcome. - Pooled Luncheon at 12:00 noon
There will be a pooled luncheon at 12:00 noon in the former school. Relatives and friends most welcome.
The day is also listed as part of the South Australia's History Festival.
We are proud to be part of the ‘About Time’ Celebrations for the SA History Festival, and point out that there are many other events in the region and two other events listed in Eudunda and one in Robertstown.
We encourage you to come and join the celebrations for S.A. History Week and S.A.’s 175th and Eudunda's 140th
on Friday 20th May 2011 at Eudunda with its
"Pioneer Market Day" which should be great fun.
You can find other local events on the home page and SA events at the South Australia's History Festival website.
